Season 2 Day 59

Almost at 200 packages of Ramen since the beginning of this blog like what...over 2 years ago? I think.
And I just posted elsewhere on the internet that I'm at a crossroads.  I'm not sure if I should go totally Vegan or go back to having meat in my diet?  I've been a Vegetarian now for 12 years. But, I really need to do something about my weight, and working out is not an option right now because of my knee and issues from the car accident few years ago.

So I'll ask it again here, for anyone who might be reading and know.  Would it be easier to go totally Vegan for a year or so, or bring meat back into my diet?

I have to admit, it would be lovely to cook a roast chicken again.  And I'd actually be able to make a real ramen broth for once from scratch.

Let me know what you think, what you've done in the past, etc.

Season 2 Day 58

It's been over a month.  How'd that happen?

I've been just so not myself lately.   Tonight, wrestling ppv.

Hobbies have been on hold. Projects on hold.  I'm enjoying the semi mild weather.  Lot's of rain though here.  Lots of migraine headaches too.

Not much to talk about.  Scrapbooking projects getting some of the bulk of my time.

season 2 day 57

oh my it's been a month?  I really lost track of things.
The last few weeks, I've been working on a new manuscript. It was suppose to be a short story, but it's turned into a novel.
Other then that, I've been having a lot of headaches, mostly due I think to the late hours at the computer typing on the manuscript.

The weekend was busy for my wrestling blog. As it was Wrestlemaina weekend.

As far as my vampire movie a day project, dude, I'm in so much trouble. I haven't worked on it or the side projects in over a week.  I've become the type of person I hate. And I have no excuse for it.

Sorry to my readers, till later

season 2 Day 56

Just got back from the dentist.  Had to take a cab there and back, which cost me more then I want to admit to.
And, I've got to go back in a few weeks for a filling.  Damn it!
With the O.I., my teeth have been an issue.  Osteogenesis Imperfecta, for anyone who hasn't been following much or just does not remember, is brittle bones.  Which I have Type One. And your teeth, as many people don't even think about when they think about bones, are well bones.
So my teeth have been a cause of anxiety my whole life.  Using bleaching products to whiten them is forbidden by my dentist because of the fact they strip away layers of bone... you know what I mean, in order to actually whiten.
Yeah, that bit of sensitivity you feel when you use the bleaching products is because you've just given yourself a lower bone density in your teeth.   Think about that for a few minutes.

season 2 Day 55

I think I just had a full blown panic attack.
Ever have one of those days when life is going along smooth and then suddenly some small thing just booms up out?  Total rock bottom roller coaster emotions.  Yeah it was one of those days.  And again, it had to do with the internet.  I'm starting to hate the web in general.

So sitting here now, a cup of earl grey tea and just had some chocolate cake. Still feeling slightly out of sorts but it's a nice day outside here.

Hoping to get to the cinema next week when our city starts the matinees for spring break.

hope everyone is having a relaxing day

Well, I'm really disappointed today.
Had a scheduled book club, in which I had 3 new members.  None of which showed up.  I'm really beginning to think I'm cursed with this.

Seriously, not sure what I'm doing wrong?  When others pick the selection, no one bothers to read it, when I pick the selection, no one bothers to read it.  Nor does anyone seem to bother letting me know they can't make it either.

Totally sucks.

I keep saying I'm never going to do this again if it fails this meeting.  Then, I always end up giving it another try because I get new people messaging me telling me they are interested.  It's a vicious cycle.

This time I think it was the book itself.  We were reading American Psycho, and even I found it extreme.

Seson 2 Day 53

I was just hanging out on a scrapbooking site, and I've noticed before a common project title.   "project life"   which seems to be done in weeks.
So I started to flip through some of the pieces people have done and even went looking elsewhere online to see their versions on blogs and in videos.

I really like this idea.
They take a photo a day for a year and scrapbook it.

I've wanted to do something similar, but at the moment I don't have a colour printer.  When I bought my current printer, I was only thinking about using it for my writing, and sadly it's only a black ink.

Every so often I come across some really creative and beautiful scrapbook pages and ideas.  Today, my hat's off to those who are in the process of creating a 365 Scrapbook

Season 2 Day 52

Short note, getting ready to go for groceries in a few minutes.
Is it just me, or when you have something planned for the day no matter what it might be, that's always when things go wrong in your schedule/routine?   It never seems to fail that every time I've got something to do outside of the apartment, those are the days I have to deal with people knocking on my door, email or internet issues, etc.

At the moment the weather seems to be okay, so here's hoping it holds out for another few hours while I'm out.

And with tomorrow being Valentine's Day, just wanted to say to everyone hope it's a good one for you.

season 2 Day 51

It's been about a week since I checked in on this blog.
This was always meant to be the drama free blog.  So, I suppose not having much to rant about is a good thing.

The vampire challenge is not going as smoothly as I was expecting it to. It just seems that last year's one movie a day challenge, even with all it's faults moved along better.
That makes me a bit sad.

It's funny how we end up living our lives on the internet.  Here I have something- the challenge- which last year was originally meant to be blog only and it expanded to a scrapbook, and changed how I viewed my life, how I interacted with my family, how I planned my day.   And this year's  challenge, which is meant to be more offline, has fallen into a giant crack.  None of the secondary projects connected to the vampire challenge are working proper.

It's all making me think I should go back to the idea of the original challenge.

But anyways, that's where my head is right now. Somewhere between a life online and one in the real world.

season 2 day 50

horror films.

I was sitting here thinking about the topic of horror films because I have been reading American Psycho for book club.

horror films.

I used to be a major fan of the genre.  Back in the day when I was a teenager and well into my twenties, and even in the first half of my thirties.
But pretty much in the last 3 years, I've gotten away from them.  I can't stomach what's being produced under the title of horror anymore.

Literally.  I don't think it's just me either.  Horror films used to be nightmare inducing, now they all seem to be vomit inducing.  It's not really horror anymore, but a gross out contest.

And why I wrote this on this blog and not the movie blog?   Cause I realized I hadn't been in this blog for almost two weeks.  This blog needs some love.

Season 2 Day 49

It's a Thursday.
means nothing really.

Been very addicted to the tv show MI-5 (Spooks)   well, just seasons 7-9 the ones with Richard Armitage.  Cause, you know he's hotter then hell in a bathtub. Spent most of the last week watching all the episodes from those three seasons of the show.

And I've run out of British shows on Netflix Canada to watch.  I'm really hoping that BBC Canada gets  the new show Ripper Street.  Or Global or CTV or one of the Canadian channels, cause it looks pretty groovy.

Seriously, the only British show left is Doctor Who.... and I don't think I could handle that.  I've avoided that show for most of my life, only having to sit through maybe three episodes ever when I was a kid. My cousin and uncle loved Doctor Who.

I'm babbling, but that's okay cause it's my blog.  Speaking of vampires, the vampire movie de jour is up. Day 10 over on the vampire blog...  it was a movie I'd never heard of until yesterday.

okay time for coffee

Season 2 Day 48

Another week, and few days into a new year.

So the vampire themed project is well under way.  You can catch up here if you haven't already.
I'll be doing a weekly round up on the movie blog every Friday, with the links and such. Cause that's just easier on me.

Saw the Hobbit... loved it. Talked about it sort of on the movie blog I say sort of cause... well you'll see if you read the post.

Looks like it will be a big year for me book wise too. Joined some book challenges on GoodReads.  Plus, as I mentioned on my main blog last week, have also got my own book clubs this year again.

That's the small catch up today, I'm hoping to make the vampire blog the "main blog" for the year, sort of like how the movie blog was last year, but plans are plans and things turn out the way things turn out so we'll just have to see.
